Finding your IMEI and EID - iPhone

Your IMEI and EID are unique numbers assigned to mobile devices. These numbers (one or both) are required to activate your device on a mobile plan. We'll go through the steps to locate these numbers below.

 

Method 1: Via the Settings App

  1. Unlock your iPhone and go to the Home Screen.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Scroll down and tap on General.
  4. Select About from the top of the list.
  5. Here, you will see various details about your iPhone. Scroll down to find:
    • IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)
    • IMEI2 (if your iPhone supports dual SIM)
    • EID (Embedded Identity Document, for eSIM-enabled phones)
    You can tap and hold on the numbers if you need to copy them for use.

 

Method 2: Using the Phone Dialer

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Keypad tab.
  3. Dial *#06#.
  4. Your IMEI, and if applicable, IMEI2 and EID will appear on the screen.

Your serial number, IMEI(s), and EID are located on the box that your iPhone came in:
